7 Days from Ouarzazate to Fes | Unforgettable Morocco Adventure

Itinerary

Day 1

Departure heading to Ouarzazate. Pick-up at the airport by a 4×4 vehicle with a driver, and transfer to Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for productions like “Gladiator” and “Lawrence of Arabia.” Afterward, return to Ouarzazate where we can visit the Atlas Studios or the Kasbah of Taourirt.Overnight and dinner at Hotel or Riad in Ourzaztz or Dades

Day 2

Today, we venture deep into the Central High Atlas, passing through spectacular, contrasting landscapes. We will visit Berber villages like Boutaghrar, where time seems to stand still. Explore the Dades Valley to its gorges and view from the lookout. Enjoy the sight of mountains, canyons, and valleys, and see the caves where nomads still reside. In the afternoon, we continue to Tinerhir, a small town known for its beautiful contrast of pink houses and palm groves. From there, we enter the famous Todra Gorges for a short walk along the river.” Overnight and dinner at Hotel or Riad in Erfoud Merzouga.

Day 3

Day of the Desert. Visiting desert villages and meeting nomads. We’ll stop at the Marine Fossil Quarries, dating back 360 million years. We’ll continue to Erg Chebbi, the fine sand dunes of the Sahara Desert, where we’ll switch from a 4×4 vehicle to camels to explore the dunes and witness an unforgettable sunset. We’ll reach the camp, where we’ll stay in traditional nomadic tents (Haimas). Sleeping under the stars is an incredible experience. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4

Sunrise Adventure: After breakfast, we will travel around the dunes to the abandoned village of Merdani. Then, we head to Khamlia, a village of Sudanese origin, where the locals will greet us with traditional dances and mint tea. Next, we visit Rissani, known for its market, where desert tribes and nomads gather. We’ll also see the “donkey parking” for a bit of local color. Lunch at Rissani with a traditional Pizza called “Medfouna” til you confirme .
Return to the hotel in Erfoud for a free afternoon to relax after the desert adventure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Note: The car with a driver will be available in the afternoon for optional visits to the region or a stroll in Erfoud.

Day 5

After breakfast, we head north for around 407.6 km. We pass through the Ziz Valley, with its 10 million palm trees, leaving the desert behind as we climb the Atlas Mountains. We continue through Midelt we cross the Cedars Forest. If lucky, we may feed the wild monkeys that live on the mountain. Continue to Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its resemblance to the Swiss Alps, before descending the Middle Atlas mountains to Fez. Overnight and dinner at Riad or a Hotel

Day 6

This morning, we will visit the ancient Fez Medina on foot with a local guide. It is one of the most authentic and well-preserved in the Arab world. We will walk through its labyrinthine medieval streets, full of craft workshops, mosques, and palaces, and have the chance to visit a leather-tanning workshop.Afternoon free. Overnight and dinner at Riad or a Hotel

Day 7

At the scheduled time, we will transfer to Fez airport for the return flight.
